Introduction

• Simple R package to read Windows BMP format images.
• No external dependencies
• Currently only reads 8 bit greyscale and 24 or 32 bit RGB images.
• Limited testing

Installation

The recommendation is to install from CRAN.

install.packages("bmp")

Bleeding Edge

You can, however, use the remotes package to install the development version:

install.packages("bmp", repos = c('https://jefferis.r-universe.dev', 'https://cloud.r-project.org'))

NB Windows users need Rtools and devtools to install this way.
